Publisher interview with More Than Novellas
An indepth interview with the
Christian publisher, Elizabeth
Delayne, MoreThanNovellas.Com
Are you open to submissions? How does your
submission process work?

Yes, we love new submissions.  Please read through
the submissions page, including the submission
guidelines and follow the directions under how to
submit.  This list just includes information to list your
work and give me verification that it is your work.

Do you have any special campaigns or events
coming up?

I’m thinking about/praying about opening up a second
annual “Love Extravagant” short story contest, but
well see.

We also have an IF Story Room … interactive fiction,
where you can read and complete the next part of the
story.  It’s fun and its definitely challenges you as a
writer.

How do you stay centered on God in this
industry?

I try to stay in the word, and keep Him in my thoughts.
Something that is very important to me (and I don’t
expect it to be to other people), is that God impressed
on MY heart years ago not to use His name in vain.  In
my Ethics class in college we talked about that the
verse and commandment can mean not to use God’s
name for profit.  I feel this is my calling.

Second, a verse that is at the head of Novella
Ministries, of which Morethannovellas.com is a part of,
is Malachi 1:10-11.  “"Oh, that one of you would shut
the temple doors, so that you would not light useless
fires on my altar! I am not pleased with you," says the
LORD Almighty, "and I will accept no offering from
your hands. My name will be great among the nations,
from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place
incense and pure offerings will be brought to my
name, because my name will be great among the
nations," says the LORD Almighty."

I pray that God is using me and what I write.  That its
not “useless fires.”

Where does your material come from?

My own material comes from everywhere.  Some of it

stories posted from people in Australia, Europe,
North America (that’s all I’m sure of).
