Publisher interview with WHOLE Magazine
A one on one interview with the
upcoming  Christian life magazine,
WHOLE Magazine Editor In Chief,
Marie Trotter.

Q: How did WHOLE Magazine come into
existence?

A: One day when I was very sick and crying out
to the Lord about healing, He asked me a
question: "Wouldn't it be nice to have a
Christian magazine in Arkansas?" Well, my
natural mind immediately thought "What does
that have to do with what I just prayed," but
inwardly I could hear my spirit-man respond,
"Yes!" From there God gave me the name for
the magazine and its direction.

Q: What will WHOLE focus on?

A: WHOLE is an acronym: witness, health,
opinion, lifestyle, and evangelism. We focus on
all things that pertain to spiritual, emotional,
financial, physical wholeness.

Q: How long have you been in the
publishing industry.?

A:  Just over a year. I studied for about a year
and then I began. I have 11 years of
professional writing experience, and that
background has helped. Otherwise, it's a brand
new experience.

Q: What features will the magazine offer?

A: In addition to our "whole" areas and
departments we have beauty, professional and
entertainment profiles... lots of things. All of
these reflect some element of wholeness.
That's what's so great about the publication!
Q: What do you think of the market for
inspirational magazines?

A: I think in a few years you will see more
Christian magazines and inspirational
magazines on the newsstand. We need them
now more than ever before. The world is in
turmoil and people are really, really hurting.
They need the life-affirming message of the
gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no way around
it. When you really hurt-hurt, you long for the
truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth.
The world in unimpressed by our compromises.
They need Christians who will give a
God-message during desperate times. As the
body of Jesus Christ we need stability,
experiences with God, long-suffering and
brokenness in order to be useful to Him.

Q:
What do you see for the future of WHOLE
Magazine?

A: Wonderful things! I fully expect the magazine
to become a regional, national and eventually
an international tool for healing and
encouragement the way God has assigned us
to deliver.

Q: Where can readers find you?

A: In October they will be able to find WHOLE
on newsstands across the country. If they
don't, please request the magazine!
